Soap Dish: Can Katie Couric Save General Hospital?

It is Soap Dish time again my friends. This week I am dishing about Katie Couric and my beloved General Hospital, can she save my favorite soap? By now I am sure you have all heard how former news anchor turns talk show host Katie Couric has expressed to ABC executives that she would like the long time soap opera to be the lead in to her talk show come September. Now of course her motives are purely selfish. The Revolution sucks ratings wise and she doesn?t want to feel the wrath of GH fans should the soap opera get cancelled because of her talk show. I have to say I don?t care what her motives are, if her supporting GH saves it she can be as much of a selfish biotch as she wants. She is not entirely wrong though in being fearful of us soap opera fans there could be major boycotts of her show, look what happened when All My Children and One Life To Live were axed.
